Tip #19 Hooking or Slicing?
Hooking or Slicing? #19 - Do you have problems with hooking or slicing the golf ball? If you do, a good place to check for problems are at the top of your backswing. At the top of your backswing, if the club is LAID OFF or pointing to the LEFT of your target, you are prone to coming over the top. A pull or slice is the result. At the top, if your club is ACROSS THE LINE or pointing to the RIGHT you will tend to swing too much from the inside. A push or hook will be the result. Remember, at the top of your backswing the shaft should be parallel to the targer line.
